Show Restoration:
This is a complete ground up restoration for the discriminating enthusiast who wants nothing short of concourse quality. Many hours
of research go into this type of a project, and no stone is left unturned in order to locate, purchase or otherwise fabricate the exact
parts required to complete this job. A time frame of 6 months to a year is not uncommon when doing a motorcycle restoration to this
level, and that time frame is optimistic if all the parts are found in a reasonable amount of time. Items such as lower fork legs,
hubs and triple clamps, providing they are made of aluminum are polished to a mirror finish. Spokes are finished in chrome, as are
the nipples.
If the wheels are stamped and dated, and are original to the motorcycle, every attempt will be made to reuse those original
parts during this process providing they can be brought back to their original beauty. All original chrome will be re-chromed to show
quality finish. There is no powder coating done to the frame or any other color coated parts during this type of a restoration, unless requested by the customer. Any part that was originally painted from the factory will be matched to the original factory paint code. For an estimate to complete a restoration of this quality, I prefer to have the motorcycle in my possession. It is possible to discuss
it by phone, but I have found it to be in both the best interest of myself and the customer when we can view the bike together, or at
the very least discuss it by phone with the motorcycle in front of me.
